John McIntire (1907-1991) was born Johnn Herrick McIntire. He is Irish &
English. He is best known for his role as Christopher Hale in the second half of
Wagon Train (1957), and as the third owner of Shiloh Ranch on The Virginian (1962).
His wife, Jeanette Nolan (1911-1998), and son, Tim McIntire (1944-1986),
were with him as a family on many TV shows, including The Fugitive (1964).
Clay and Holly Grainger were a great addition to the later part of The Virginian.
Tim was a guest star quite a few times.

John McIntire lived to 83, and Jeanette Nolan lived to 86.
Tim sadly passed away in 1986 at only the very young age of 41.
Their daughter, Holly McIntire (born 1942) is in her 80s
and still alive.
